Pro Tips

Times Square - Located in the heart of New York City, is a vibrant and iconic destination known for its dazzling neon lights, towering billboards, and bustling energy.  Exercise caution – nothing on Times Square is free.  Characters, dancers, and monks, they all can be pushy in pursuing money.  Times Square is a must, especially at night!

The Crown of the Statue of Liberty – This experience offers visitors a unique and breathtaking view of New York Harbor from one of the most iconic landmarks in the world.  Accessible via a narrow staircase of 162 steps.  Plan ahead, you must have a reservation and they go fast!  Spend time at Ellis Island as well.  Take the audio tour – well worth it, truly brings the island to life.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art - Commonly known as The Met, is one of the world's largest and most prestigious art museums, located in New York City.  With over 2 million works spanning 5,000 years of art history, The Met showcases an extraordinary collection ranging from ancient artifacts to modern masterpieces.  Wear comfortable walking shoes!

Boat Tour of New York City – Lots of options but Classic Harbor Line was a family favorite – the girls absolutely LOVED the experience.  The tour offers a magical experience, showcasing the city's iconic skyline illuminated against the night sky - Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, and the Brooklyn Bridge.  And may I recommend the brownies while on the boat, most excellent!

Top of the Rock - The Rockefeller Center Observation Deck, known as "Top of the Rock," offers breathtaking panoramic views of New York City from 70 stories above the streets.  We opted for a night visit and it did not disappoint.  Elevator lines and the observation deck can be a bit crowded but well worth it.

The 9/11 Memorial Museum - Located at the World Trade Center site in New York City, is a powerful tribute to the nearly 3,000 victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.  Through poignant exhibits, personal stories, and recovered artifacts, the museum preserves the memory of the day that changed the world, honoring the resilience of survivors and first responders.
